MISA AMANE CALLOUT POST
~TRUSTHELL MIX~
Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. If you have anything you'd like to thread out with Misa (post-Trustfell Round 2, naturally!), go ahead and drop me a line or a starter here and I'll accommodate you ASAP!! I'm open to pretty much anything! Don't feel as though this is limited to Trustfellas, too (though those are greatly appreciated!), as any murdergame alum or character you want to throw in is totally okay by me!

For a bit of background on what Misa's world is like, it's just typical Japan, circa 2009 or so. The crime rate is beginning to stabilize back to typical pre-Kira trends; though people are still feeling incredibly safe even when walking alone, the fact of the matter is that it isn't a utopia, despite the fact that it seems like a lovely place to live. In truth, most crime in Japan actually goes unreported, a problem that troubled even Kira during his tenure, due to a bit of a fixation her society has with maintaining a public image of a blissful metropolis where street crime is nearly unheard of.
WHAT MISA'S BEEN UP TO
Still, of course, that doesn't mean she's going to give up on her goals. Light may not be here anymore, but she's going to try and carry on his legacy the right way. She moved away from Shinjuku to somewhere a little more posh: she's got a little place in Omotesando, and though the attention from paparazzi and press alike is both flattering and unwanted, well, there's no denying she's an accomplished model and actress, and the hiatus only added to her popularity despite sources like Sakura TV claiming that she may have been more aware of Kira's alter ego than she lets on...thankfully, no one cares about Sakura TV, anyway. She has quite a few more connections with the press than she did before, so, keeping her finger on the pulse is easier than ever, in case there's anything...irregular happening; but most importantly, though, in the wake of all of this Kira talk, she can use her position to speak out against injustice and corrupt behavior, which is always a good thing!
Sometimes the attention gets just a bit overwhelming, though, and she needs to get away and spend some time with her friends and family; letting them all have the ability to cross worlds certainly does make that a bit easier! She can't help but think that she'd be doing far, far worse without them, after all; finding out Light really was dead wasn't something she took gently...still, if there's one thing that Misa is good at, it's putting on a brave face even when times are toughest, so she's been doing her best, even if she has been just a bit lonely by herself! A fanbase can only do so much, really...and as much as she likes to call all of her fans a family, it's not quite the same as losing someone you considered your whole world.

There's also just so many people. At least Misa's personal place isn't crowded more than a tin can of anchovies.]
I don't know you to live here, pigtails. I'm beat.
[and enjoying sprawling across your expensive furniture. please don't force her into designer clothes just yet she needs time to recover from culture shock.]
... Has the world always been this crowded or is this a new thing, because I'm starting to see how they all died when the Rash came around.
no subject
If you think that was crowded, just wait until we get to the scramble. You have to see how many people are there...I used to live in a part of Tokyo where it was a lot more crowded. There must be millions of people who pass by every day...
[ And it's fine, the couch is probably really cozy, even if it is a bit fancy! She'll give her biff a bottle of ramune, too, if only because she thinks it'll be kind of funny watching her try to open the darn thing. ]
But Tokyo is actually, I think, the most crowded city in the whole wide world! And I'm pretty sure it has been for a long time. And Osaka comes close! So Japan is pretty packed...but I like it this way, to be honest. I can't imagine things being quiet around here, the city is so full of life this way! All this energy and the hustle and bustle, it gets you going! ...Oh, but, the people here are really considerate, too! Whenever they get sick, they wear these little masks over their mouths so they don't get their germs everywhere and make anyone else get sick, so, I think we'll all be safe from a rash.
no subject
I dunno how the rash first starting spreading, but that's good to hear. [holy shit the fuck is this made of why is the drink not coming out] It's just... there's a lot of noise and lights, too. Iceland wasn't nearly as packed and that's the most packed place in the known world.
[... She's gonna chew on the bottle.]
no subject
[ Okay, okay, that's enough, as hilarious as this is... ]
Okay, do you see the top part that you just took off? It's actually so you can push the marble in! And when the marble falls in the bottle, the drink opens and gets all fizzy! Try it, you'll love it! Squeeze it in as hard as you can!
no subject
Mettaton really might like it a lot here, as much as he'd said he'd stay by her once upon a time and how he doesn't really have a choice in the matter now. Maybe she'll visit with him sometime. Just so he's not stuck in boring old Dalsnes all the time (as much as he's gotten used to that, too).
Sigrun'll do as instructed, eyes lighting up when the marble falls in and the drink fizzes up as Misa said it would.]
That's so cool. Your people are cool, pigtails. Can I take some home? I wanna show it off to everyone else.
[She needs like a crate of these fucking stat.]
no subject
Oh please, you haven't seen anything yet! Wait until you go to your first sushi bar, or drink a little too much sake and sing karaoke, or get a huge bowl of ramen, or relax in the onsen! Heck, you probably haven't even gone to the bathroom yet, we have heated seats in there and everything! You're gonna have the time of your life here in Tokyo if I have anything to say about it!
[ She opens up her own bottle, letting the marble roll around as she klinks the glass against Sigrun's! ]
Cheers! If you wanna bring some back now, just wait until you drink some. It's like lemon-limey, but really sweet, and...oh, just try some!
no subject
...... And drinking this would be nice, but she's kind of preoccupied with the marble on the inside. Wouldn't it get in the way again? Can't she just take it out? Then she'd have something fun to play with too.]
You have a lot of stuff and I'm honestly not sure where to begin. All I know is that if you visited me in Dalsnes, you'd never want to return. I'm still a little surprised bombshell doesn't mind it, though... that's because it's still ten times better than where he came from in the first place.
no subject
[ Please don't break open the bottle on her table just to get to the marble... ]
...Might be tough to see, like, Cherry and Ryuu and the others, though.
no subject
And looking very pleased at the taste. Oooh. Ooooooooh she could get used to this and the fizzy feeling, oooooh.]
They'll understand. I think you and Cherry's daughter'll get along though, little red's a real sweetheart. Lobco. So we can just go have a girl's party with her lobster mom by the sea and forget the boys for a little while.
no subject
[ That would be pretty bad...but she's glad it looks like she's enjoying the taste! ]
Yeah, he told me about Lobco, back when we were on decent terms. She sounds like a real cutie. Seems like a quiet girl, though, from the sound of it.
[ ...Though she supposes, after what happened, anyone probably would be. Cherry being away in a murdervault probably didn't help matters. ]
A girl's night out by the water sounds like a good time, though! Just a shame that I probably wouldn't be able to bring my swimsuit...you should go swimming in our oceans sometime if you'd like! We can take a trip down to Okinawa, it's beautiful over there, there are tons of beaches...
no subject
And that means? Care packages. Hope you really enjoy bread-based sweets, because that's what he can manage to cook right now.]
Dear Misa,
I can cut off contact entirely if you want. But it would be nice to hear that you're alright.
And I realized I hadn't thanked you. If it hadn't been for you, I might not have come out about my history to anyone, much less to all of the survivors. I'd still be living in fear of anyone finding out.
So, thank you.

And regardless of that, it'd be rude for her to just outright ignore him. She has no reason to keep up appearances anymore, but, even so...
How polite about it he is makes her stomach churn a little bit. Not that she lets it show in her letter, in that handwriting he's seen tons of times on crosswords and notes in the Vault... ]
Cherry,
Thank you for the sweets!! You don't have to thank me about doing that; you did it yourself. In fairness, saying anything about it at the time was something I'm not exactly proud of. Even though I didn't use your name, I put you in a tight spot by mentioning what I did. It was petty of me, I think! I guess I was a little mad that you mentioned that thing and figured me out.
[ Not gonna mention anything by name, here; things can leak when you're so famous, after all. Especially considering she associated with someone who, in the public's eyes, turned out to be pretty notorious. ]
But I'm sure you'll be satisfied to know that I gave up that whole business. I don't know where my you-know-what went off to, but the odds that I'll find it again seem really unlikely, unless, well, worst-case-scenario happens and things start up again. If that happens, I'll probably be the first to know, though. A celebrity's gotta have connections.
[ She's being intentionally vague here, but he should be able to guess what she's referring to. ]
Speaking of celebrity business, I've definitely been busier than ever!! Been doing lots more modelling. Gonna be in a few high-profile movies soon, too; smaller roles, but, it's a good start to what should be a really awesome career! Being away for so long turned out to be a decent move to get a bit more publicity, and I think the fans understood why I had to take a bit of a leave. I wish he was here, Cherry. I miss him more than anything in the whole world. Like I said, he WAS my whole world. So this is...very, very hard, to say nothing else of it. It's so hard to believe he's really gone, but, he's dead and buried. Saw it myself. His grave's in Yokohama, away from his family's. People go there all the time. It's become something of a tourist spot, which is definitely a little disgusting, frankly. But I won't get into that too much.
But I'm going to make sure people know what he stood for. If people get the message, even if they don't get the methods, that's enough to change the world in a positive way, I think. I've been getting lots of questions about it, like, whether or not I knew and stuff? The interviews can be really draining sometimes. Some days it's a lot harder than others. But having friends helps! I'm very thankful for that much!
Hope all's going okay with you. Give Lobco and Doloz kisses for me, and tell Sigrun I'll see her soon! The others, too, if I take a trip out sometime!
Lots of love,
Misa-Misa ♥
P.S. Enjoy the glitter ^_^
[ And when he opens up the envelope to read the letter, unfortunately, there'll be a glitter surprise inside. So much glitter. He won't be getting it out for weeks. It's like she went to the craft store and bought out the stock. ]

He's pleased to get the response nonetheless - he wouldn't be at all surprised if she'd decided to ignore him entirely.]
Dear Misa,
Lobco and Doloz send their hellos, and Sigrun's looking forward to seeing you again. You're welcome here if you like - I certainly wouldn't be the one to keep you away.
[Doloz and Lobco might take more offense if they knew how close she was to killing him, but he hasn't told them about that part.]
I'm sorry to hear that about him. Mourning is hard enough without nosy people barging in on it. I completely agree with you - turning a grave into a tourist site is awful and tasteless.
Sadly, there's not much in the way of electricity here, so I think I won't be seeing your movies anytime soon unless I come by and visit. And I'm busy babysitting, most of the time, so I can't make too many trips out.
[Not to mention she wouldn't want him there anyway.]
I'm glad you're doing well, and that you haven't given up your ideals even with everything.
[That would just be sad - even if he can't agree with her methods at all, she's right in that the message intended was positive. If crime goes down because of that, that's good.]
We're doing alright out here - they've gotten used to us in Dalsnes, more or less. Lobco does photography as a profession now: her camera survived the trip and is a lot better than what they're used to. I do odd jobs around town, and Doloz helps deal with the occasional whale. Sigrun is the same as ever - maybe a little more energetic.
[He won't mention the ex-Kingmakers because he thinks she probably won't care.]
Take care of yourself, too.

But it's a different story when you're actually holding the power in your hands. Maybe she just came to that realization because she lost everything that mattered to her.
If nothing else, though, she found a few new things that keep her hanging on until her time's up. Not like she has much of it left, anyway. ...Not that she'll tell anyone that, of course.
This package comes with a gift, too: it's a fancy digital camera! ...Unfortunately, the batteries aren't replaceable, so poor Lobco might have a hard time plugging it in to recharge it once the battery runs low. ...And there won't be much of a way to print out the photos, either.
Oops. ♥ ]
Cherry,
If you think you won't be invited to premieres and stuff, you have another thing coming!
[ Simply because it'd be weird to include some people and not others. Still as mindful of how other people think of her as ever. ]
And of course I don't want to give up on my ideals. In fact, it's made them stronger, if anything. I don't want what we've been through to have been for nothing. Or what Light went through, or what my parents went through, or what the people in the other ones went through. I'm gonna do my best to change things, at least as much as a model like me can!
I'm glad to hear that Lobco likes photography so much: I asked my guys if they had any spare high-end cameras they didn't need anymore, so I managed to get this one, no trouble! I hope she likes it, it's really fancy!!!
You can come by Tokyo whenever you're not busy; I might be busy with a shoot or something, but let me know and I'll figure out a way to make time, for sure.
Yours truly,
Misa-Misa ♥

Dear Misa,
Thank you for the thoughtful gift. I hope it sees good use.
[By someone not them, because seriously?]
I'll let you know well ahead of time - I wouldn't want to drop in unexpectedl. Looking forward to those movie premieres, I'm sure you're as dazzling as ever. The only actor I know who could compete with you is Black, probably.
Yours,
Cherryblod
[There are some more sweets included with this one.]

Cherry,
I'm still a much better model than I am an actress; sometimes I don't do very well in scenes that are high-pressure! I've tried doing that whole method-acting thing? Not for me! People get way, way, way too into it and there's no way I can keep up with that!
[ AND YES SERIOUSLY ]
But I've met lots of famous stars by doing big-name films, even if I don't have too many lines in them. People seem really happy to have me, though, so I guess that's the most important thing.
I still can't believe I missed Black's performance...I feel so terrible, really! I bet he put on a wonderful show...I hope I'll get to be able to at least see it for myself one day, though he insists I should be in it!
Thanks for the dessert, as always! You spoil me!
Love,
Misa-Misa ♥

That's my job, spoiling people. I hope it was delicious - we don't have as much to work with here in Dalsnes, so I've had to change my repertoire of recipes significantly.
Black's show was amazing. I'm sure it would be even better if there were more than one person performing in it, though it's particularly impressive technically because of that. And more than that, I think performing together with a friend would be fun.
You're probably a joy to have on the set, even if you're not the most experienced of actresses. You'll improve with practice, like everyone else does, don't worry.
Take good care of yourself.
Yours,
Cherryblod
